    Notes
    • While we have not been able to prove that William and Moses are the children of Aaron Ritter it is the long held belief by several Ritter researchers. Partially based on the belief that Aaron Ritter has not been located between 1790 in Surry County, NC and 1830 in New Hanover [present day Pender County] NC. He is believed to have migrated north into VA and then west into Eastern TN prior to relocating to Pender County, NC near his brother Moses.
