      JOSIAH2 WALLIS (THOMAS1) was born May 11, 1775 in N.C., and died August 30, 1850 in Tishomingo Co., Now Prentiss Co., Ms.. He married SARAH HOBSON (HOBSIN) December 31, 1795 in probably N.C.. She was born December 22, 1775 in N.C., and died August 30, 1850 in Tishamingo Co., Ms..

      Notes for JOSIAH WALLIS:
      Information received from Billy Wallis (Des) also in Prentiss Co. Ms History by Thomas Wallis. He states The Wallis lived in Lawrence Co. TN. until the late 1830s. Josiah & Sarah came to Tishomingo Co. now Prentiss Co. Ms. in 1840. Bill Wallis states Josiah was in 1820 Lawrence Co. TN census. He is also in 1830 Lawrence Co TN census. Josiah sold land in TN to Bennett 24 Oct 1835 and moved to Tishomingo. Co. He states Josiah and Sarah had 6 other daughters. He married Sarah Hobson Dec 31, 1795. Josiah transferred 100 acres to Issac Wallis his brother in Randolph Co, N. C Oct 12, 1804. Josiah bought 65 acres July 7,1825 Paid $261 on Chism Fork Creek, Lawrence Co, Tn 1928 sold 20 acres to Bennett Wallis. I have a deed dated Sept 23, 1848 between Josiah and Brantley Wallis of Tishomingo, Ms selling 80 acres for $150.00
      1800 Census lists Josiah as 2 sons under 10, 1 female under 10- 1 Male adult 16-45 - 1 female adult 26-45. 1850 Tishomingo, Miss Census living with his son Brantley & his wife Mary
      Josiah Wallis was appointed administrator to the estate of Stephen M. Moore 1822 in Lawrence Co., Tn
