David Kegle and wife Catharine of Rowan County deeded William Smith a tract of land located on both sides of Flat Creek including a plantation. John Kegle, Simon Hart and George Kegle were witnesses.
1774, Jan 12 -- Land Grant #0417, Cumberland County, NC
William Smith received 50 acres located at the mouth of Cabin Creek adjoining David Kagill, John Kagill, own improvement. Jesse Ritter and Jacob Cagle were chain carriers. [Editor's Note: Never granted]
