      Jacob Cagle, son of Johannes "John Dutchman" Cagle and Johanetta Hardt was the patriarch of the Hall County, GA Cagle families. He moved from North Carolina to Habersham County Ga and became one of the earlier pioneers of Hall County GA when he moved there in about 1820. He and his wife Elizabeth Gilmore Cagle raised 9 children as well as 5 grandchildren.
